Stand Up Paddle Boarding Courses- School Holidays

Junior Stand up Paddle board Tasters at Buzz Active Cuckmere.

This is a great way for juniors to try out stand up paddle boarding on the safe sheltered Cuckmere meanders in a group environment. Juniors will learn how to paddle, steer, turn and navigate the meanders with style, maybe even learn a few tricks too! Minimum age for this session is 6, however we recommend 8-14 as the ideal age.

Sessions run every Monday and Wednesdays, 1400-1600 in Easter holidays, May half term, Summer Holidays and October Half term.

Multi-Activity Paddle sport Fun Course.(4 day)

A fun and exciting way of introducing children to the range of activities offered at the centre, including stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, raft building fun and games afloat.

This course will run Monday to Thursday in the holidays. (except weeks with a bank holiday where Fun course is 3 days Tuesday to Thursday and a reduced cost)

For 8 to 14 year olds

09:30 – 12:00

“We just wanted to provide some feedback on our week with Buzz Active Eastbourne. We were really impressed with the confidence, enthusiasm, knowledge and skill of the instructors. They were fantastic at engaging and enthusing our pupils, some of whom were a little nervous of the water! They were incredibly patient and kind and as a result our pupils had the most amazing week. The versatility of the instructors to switch activities based on the changing weather conditions whilst still ensuring our pupils didn’t miss out and had a great time was admirable. The vast majority of our pupils picked their day with Buzz Active as their favourite experience of the week (no mean feat when it has included activities such as Thorpe Park amongst others!) “thank you for running/organising yesterdays First Aid Course.

As always these are long days due to the considerable amount that needs to be covered, but I though that Andrew was excellent in terms of the pace of delivery and of equal importance, keeping it interesting,  informative and of course very relevant to the environment that we all operate in.

It was also nice to have a good amount of time to practice CPR and then to be tested/assessed using the realistic ‘scenarios’ that Andrew presented each of us with at the end of the day.

As always I learnt a few new things and re- learnt an awful lot.

“I wanted to let someone know how amazing the Haf programme has been for myself and my two boys,

I took on my two grandsons 10 years ago as a single parent with two girls still at home, I had to give up work to care for them , the older one has a few problems due to early trauma but he is coping well and the Haf programme has helped him to grow,

The boys now 11 and 12 have been involved with buzz active , first was bushy Wood then Eastbourne for water sports, I could never have afforded any kind of experience like this for the boys!

They have loved the watersports the most and to have lunch at the perch in Princes park has been a real treat for them.”

My daughter, who is twelve, had a whale of a time on the Buzz Cuckmere Adventure week.  She had a great time kayaking, den-building and orienteering and particularly enjoyed stand-up paddle-boarding.  She said that the staff were really friendly and enthusiastic, and wanted to go back for more, so that we ended up sending her to another session of kayaking the following week.  When she got there for the second time she was very impressed that the staff remembered her name and welcomed her back.  Again she had a great time and I think she will want to return again in future holidays.  Thank you very much to all at Buzz Active!
