Wing School

learn the way of the wing with our RYA qualified instructors, using high quality equipment from RRD. At Buzz Active we have a great location to learn to wing surf or wing foil. Learn to fly the wing on our lake or the sea using large boards, before progressing to first flights and sustained flight lessons on the sea using the foiling equipment.

Our wing surf lessons can be delivered on our lake in groups of up to 4.

We support you with safety boat cover on the sea and teach 1 to 1, or 1 to 2 on the foil.

Our wing school sessions operate at weekend and we can organise private lessons during the week.

Learn to Wing Surf

An introductory course, providing a basic introduction to winging. This course is split into two parts; flying the wing ashore, and getting afloat. Together these sessions provide the fundamentals of wing control, translating its power into forward momentum and steering, whilst reinforcing the core skills of board balance to enable you to travel across the wind a short distance, gybe and return to starting point

Improvers Wing Surf

This course concentrates on building confidence and enhancing the skills learnt in the Learn to Wingsurf course, enabling students make progress and hold ground upwind, as well as improve tacking and gybing transitions. This course is a fundamental stepping stone to being able to progress onto Wing foiling

Learn to Wing foil – First Flights

This lesson will need to be delivered on the sea and so is weather dependant.

Progress the pre-learnt skills of Wingsurfing, taking them to the next level and learning to wingfoil. This course will assist you in understanding and achieving your first flights in both directions and gaining the knowledge to increase flight time.

Prerequisite – completed the intro to wing surf, and improve your wing surf lessons and recommendation to progress from staff.

£125 2:1 for half day

£150 for a half day. 1:1

Improvers Wing foil – Sustained flights

This lesson will need to be delivered on the sea and so is weather dependant.

Prerequisite – ability to fly the wing, and have completed a first flights lesson, recommendation to progress from staff.
