RYA (Royal Yachting Association)
Buzz Active is a fully accredited RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training establishment.
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the national body for all forms of boating under power or sail and it is the standard-setting organisation for training and trainers alike.
All our windsurfing, powerboating and sailing courses are run to RYA certifications. And all our instructors are RYA qualified.
Moreover, the RYA has awarded us with Regional Academy status for our youth windsurfing programme and we’re an affiliate of the RYA’s ‘On board’ youth sailing programme.

BCU and Canoe England
Buzz Active is a fully accredited BCU training establishment.
The BCU (British Canoe Union) is the umbrella organisation for canoeing in England, Scotland and Wales. It is responsible for leading and setting the overall framework for the three National Associations as well as representing canoeing interests such as coaching and competition at UK and international level.
Our training courses and instructors adhere to the courses and coaching standards outlined by BCU as best practice.

The Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS)
Buzz Active is a licenced AALS provider. We follow all guidance provided by this licencing authority to ensure a safe and fun experience for all schools and groups using our two sites.
A licence is granted only after an inspection by the AALS. These inspections include a close check of the provider’s safety management systems with young people, and compliance with nationally accepted standards of good practice in the delivery of adventure activities to young people.
