If you are an experienced outdoor activities instructor with experience of leading teams, we are offering the opportunity to manage Buzz Active’s excellent operations and oversee their continued expansion.
Buzz Active provides outdoor activities in stunning locations in East Sussex. We run nationally accredited courses, taught by qualified instructors, which are inclusive and available to everyone. We work with schools to provide amazing outdoor education experiences.
Buzz Active has three bases: beautiful Cuckmere Haven, right on Eastbourne Beach and in Bushy Wood near Hailsham, all of which are all accessible by bus.
In this new all-year-round role, you will manage outdoors activities services across the three sites. You’ll ensure client needs are understood and that activities and courses meet them safely. You’ll deploy and develop staff. You’ll help Buzz Active reach more people and increase its activities.
What are we looking for?
You’re a qualified and experienced outdoors instructor who has recently worked at a regulated water sports or activity centre. You’re a great communicator, who delivers excellent customer experiences, who understands safe and professional outdoor activities, and manages risks such as weather and tide in different environments. You’re an effective manager in person and across sites. You’re available for some weekend and evening working.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
